Once you understand light, you’ll understand the meaning of life, I mean Photography!

You want to add some creative flair to your shoots but you get overwhelmed, run out of time and you’re not sure how to add creativity to challenge yourself.

You want to shoot at sunset but you’re always seeking shade as you’re not sure where to place clients and what settings to use.

You would love to have that beautiful golden glow in your photos but you don’t know where to stand with the sun to make it happen.

I used to think an epic background created the best photos

Now I know better. Light first, background second. Once I understood that light was the key to taking my photos from ordinary to extraordinary, everything changed.

I can now see and use light in a way that feels like second nature to me. I see this incredible light when I’m walking down the street, when I’m outside on the farm, or when I’m driving in my car. I am always noticing light and how it is falling on subjects. Now that I can see it, I can’t unsee it.

Light is now a part of me, my everyday and my photography. I strive to share this light in my photographs. Now I want to share it with you, to show you how I not only see light but also how I β€˜feel’ light in my images.

About Nadinne

I’ve always been a country girl, I grew up on a farm in the mid north of South Australia, which my husband and I now farm with my parents. For over a decade now, I’ve loved nothing more than travelling around the countryside meeting gorgeous rural people and bringing amazing, professional and beautiful photos right to their door.

Using beautiful light, movement and clients’ honest personalities, I look for genuine connection, heartfelt smiles and pure love their eyes. That’s what drives me. I create images that will burst their hearts, make them remember the small things and yearn to be in that moment again surrounded by love.

My dream is to help photographers like you, who is starting out or fumbling your way through biz (just like I was) to grow, empower and give you confidence to build your business and attract your dream clients.

What’s inside - Sneak peek

From golden hour to blue hour and all the light in between

Watch me shoot a full sunset session where I focus on light. As we flow through the shoot I am continuously teaching you to notice what the light is doing, then showing you how to place clients in that light while working around them to capture the best image. I teach you about rim light and how to find it, then work through back lit images, side light, full sun and, as the sun sets to a softer glow I show you how to best utilise light during blue hour.

Get your creative on

I teach you my go-to tips for adding creative flair to your images, including exactly how to take a double exposure shot in camera as well as in Photoshop post-edit. Watch as I bring out my bag of tricks of fractals, plastic bags, stockings over the lens, shooting through leaves or wild oats, then we’ll chat slow shutter, creating a blurry image and a star burst.

Homework that you won’t want your dog to eat!

Yes, I know you don’t like homework but this is the only way to truly cement your learning.

Hearing me and watching me is one way of learning but doing it yourself will help you remember, and let all the learning sink in. Then it’s time to practice, practice, practice until it becomes second nature.

Find your style

Once you learn how to notice and read light, you can then decide which type of light you love to shoot in best. Maybe a time of day suits you better for shoots based around your family, your commitments or your love of light.

Once you find your light, then you can find your style by practicing and getting to know that type of light back to front and inside out. This helps brings consistency into your photos and builds trust with your clients and especially your potential clients. They know exactly what style they are going to get from you based on what you are sharing to the world, as that is the style you love.

This is what happened to me. Once I found my style of light, people started commenting β€˜I love the golden glow in your images’ because I had learnt that light like the back of my hand and became known for it.
